The Great Tommy Sleep Out raises over £2,000 to support British Army veterans

Congratulations to Darren Law, Project co-ordinator at Great British Communications (GBC), part of United Living Group, who has raised over £2000 for the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) as part of ‘The Great Tommy Sleep Out’.

The sleepout saw Darren camp out on Halton British Legion’s bowling green in Runcorn on Saturday, 26 March – to support the estimated 6,000 veterans experiencing homelessness in the UK. Over £300,000 was raised from the various sleep out events across the UK.

The money raised from The Great Tommy Sleep Out will support vulnerable ex-veterans to get back on their feet through housing and support services provided by the RBLI.

Darren Law, said: “Thank you to those that have donated. All of the money raised will support the many ex-servicemen and women struggling to come back to grips with a new ‘normal’ life once they leave the armed forces”.
