United Living Group, the provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services, and telecoms, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, United Living Infrastructure Services (ULIS), has been awarded a place on Southern Water’s five-year AMP8 capital infrastructure framework. It is one of three partners to be awarded a place on the Low Complexity Delivery Route (LCDR) Framework, which is valued at £210 million.

As part of the framework’s clean water design and build scope, ULIS will deliver supply side improvements to increase capacity, lead replacement, pipe re-lining or replacement, and new connections. It will also support the delivery of the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) to build potable water bulk supply and transfer arrangements between Southern Water and neighbouring Sutton and East Surrey Water (SES).

ULIS will be working across the entire Southern Water region, including Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Sussex and Kent.

The five-year contract commences on 1 April 2025, with the potential to extend for a further three years.

Conor Bray, Managing Director, United Living Infrastructure Services, commented:

“We are delighted to partner Southern Water on this important AMP8 capital infrastructure investment programme to transform clean water across the region.

“Working closely with Southern Water, we will use our significant expertise and experience, including our MEICA and Engineering specialist business, AFECO, to deliver an innovative and highly sustainable service. We look forward to supporting Southern Water’s major investment in the local environment, delivering high standards of drinking water quality, and addressing increased demand from the growing population.”

Southern Water’s Chief Financial Officer, Stuart Ledger, said:

“This announcement marks an important milestone in our preparation for the next regulatory investment period 2025-30 and beyond. Southern plans to more than double its investment over the next 5 years to meet the needs of customers and the environment. I am confident that working together with our partners we will fully meet this challenge.”
