United Living performs topping out ceremony for £55m landmark Cardiff regeneration development

United Living New Homes, Ridgeback Group, and I Live Around (ila) attended a topping out ceremony on 12 September to celebrate the physical construction of its Dumballs Road development in Cardiff.

The event brought together key stakeholders and partners who are working together on the project, including Caroline Lewis, Managing Director, United Living New Homes, Christopher Allen, Development Director, Ridgeback Group, and Steven McCarthy, Managing Director, ila.

The event marked a significant milestone for the project and celebrated the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved.

Located in the Dumballs Road regeneration zone, the £55 million Build to Rent (“BTR”) scheme will deliver 432 one and two-bedroom residential apartments across two blocks. The development is bringing new life to a 40-acre brownfield site and includes low-carbon infrastructure such as electric vehicle charging points and solar panels. This infrastructure will help Cardiff Council achieve its vision of becoming a carbon-neutral city by 2030.  The 432-home project expected to be completed by October 2024.
