exceptional customer experience

Developer services

Since 2015, United Infrastructure have been delivering Developer Services with a focus on providing exceptional customer experiences while minimising risks to our clients’ water and wastewater distribution networks. Our expertise extends across a wide range of sectors, and we undertake works on behalf of clients for end customers, including developers, New Appointments & Variations (NAVs), self-lay providers, and both household and non-household customers.

Our team is highly experienced in liaising closely with third parties to ensure that all necessary access, consents, permits, and notices are secured in advance, enabling the smooth and swift delivery of services.

We have a reputation for outstanding customer service; evidenced by our major clients, who have consistently achieved the highest levels of regulatory customer service performance in Developer Services Measure of Experience (D-MeX).

Extensive service offerings

Our Developer Services offerings are designed to meet the needs of various types of clients and projects. These include laying water mains, diversions, and installation of service pipes.

We handle wastewater connections, facilitating the safe and efficient discharge of wastewater into the sewer system. We also manage the installation of key components, such as valves, chambers, and other network fittings, as required by the new installation design.

We are experienced in carrying out diversionary works for both clean water distribution assets and minor sewerage assets when requisitioned by customers. These diversions are often necessary to accommodate changes in infrastructure, such as new developments or modifications to existing networks.

We conduct comprehensive site surveys, ensuring that any issues are addressed before work begins. This includes identifying access requirements, assessing ground conditions, and evaluating traffic management needs. Once the work is completed, we also carry out backfill and reinstatement of public highways and private land.

We also offer meter installations, providing both standard water meters and bulk meters for larger developments or NAV sites. These installations are critical for accurate monitoring and billing of water consumption, and we ensure that they are properly installed and tested in accordance with regulatory standards.

Our flexible approach and strong work management planning capabilities enable us to meet the specific requirements of different project types, whether they are located on private developer sites, unadopted highways, public highways, third-party land, or customer properties. We understand the complexities of each project location and tailor our approach accordingly to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

meeting industry-recognised standards

Industry standards & compliance

We recognise the importance of adherence to industry standards. We ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), drinking water quality standards, and high service levels across all projects. Our teams are fully qualified to industry-recognised standards, including WIRS (Water Industry Registration Scheme), WIAPs (Water Industry Approved Plumbers), and EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Registration) Hygiene standards. All mains and service connection works are strictly audited and controlled, with testing and chlorination carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements before commissioning.

From a health and safety perspective, we perform CDM Principal Contractor role.
