Design across the UK
United Infrastructure is experienced in large scale projects across all areas of design, having completed high-volume design delivery across the UK for all four major mobile network operators.
Working closely with the project management and construction teams, our dedicated design department manages all stages of the design process. Our expertise lies in designing to strict planning requirements, with a particular focus placed on thorough reviews of planning proposals, at pre-planning and planning stage. We implement early engagement with the structural team and third parties to minimise delays and address areas of further investigation.
Structural assurance
Depth of analysis and integrity of designs
All structural analysis output follows a similar process when completed in-house, with peer reviews implemented and external ratification provided by our approved chartered engineers, where necessary.
Our structural engineers collate and review all further investigation output alongside design proposals and construction details. This ensures recommendations have been fully captured, with appropriate information incorporated within construction details.
Where additional structural site investigation is required at any stage, this is also managed via our own structural team. Our senior structural engineers also hold all appropriate site access and safety training certification, to allow them to attend and supervise on site.
This collaborative approach continues throughout all stages of the design phase, ensuring a fully considered construction proposal.
Right first time
Maximising planning and minimising construction attrition
We use our defined internal governance and three-step review process to underpin our right first-time approach. All site design projects undergo these processes, resulting in a 94% success rate in designs accepted and approved by our clients at first issue.
This process ensures active involvement and contributions from all key areas of expertise within our business, and that construction details contained within the site design have been approved by our specialists in construction, rigging and electrical at prebuild stage.
Feedback obtained from these reviews is channelled through our dedicated project design manager. Any required adjustments to the design are actioned and closed out via our internal design team, prior to finalisation and issuing the proposed design documents to the client.
