Totalmobile

Enabling efficient works management through technological innovation

Through our Totalmobile Integration Framework, our team at United Infrastructure is enabling seamless connectivity across systems – driving workflow consistency, operational efficiency, and real-time visibility of project information.

Overview

With our construction activities spread across multiple sites, coordinating jobs, schedules, and performance can be challenging, often leading to delays and inefficiencies.

Works management platforms such as Totalmobile help by bringing operational data into a single realtime environment, but integrating them with the diverse management systems used across the industry can be complex. To solve this, our team at United Infrastructure developed an innovative and flexible integration framework that seamlessly connects Totalmobile with a wide range of client systems.

The challenge

We wanted to give our teams greater visibility across planning, delivery, and reporting by replacing manual paperwork, disconnected spreadsheets, and emails with a single source of truth for both office and field teams.

A significant challenge was the variation in external systems, many of which had inconsistent APIs (Application Programming Interface), different data structures, and limited documentation. The solution therefore needed to overcome these differences while maintaining accurate, real-time data synchronisation across all connected systems.

The solution

Our team developed a scalable integration framework built on .NET Core and Microsoft Azure that provides secure, real-time connectivity between TotalMobile and a range of third-party housing and infrastructure management systems.

This middleware platform can intelligently transform, validate and route data based on the specific requirements of each contract or customer. This means the system can decide how information should be exchanged between platforms – making it relatively easy to allow information such as jobs, appointments, documents and completed work to be shared automatically between systems, thus allowing access to real-time project data, and improving workflow and productivity.

Benefit to the client:

A key USP of the model is that it can also be adapted without needing extensive redevelopment each time, even when external systems use different data formats, structures and business processes. This is highly beneficial for our clients that need TotalMobile or system-to-system integration, making system connections faster, easier, and less reliant on manual work.

ESG Benefits:

Our innovative framework helps in creating a real-time flow of information between planning, delivery, and reporting processes, replacing fragmented spreadsheets, emails, and paper-based workflows with a streamlined digital solution. It also improves data quality and support compliance requirements across all connected systems.

By enabling faster and more accurate sharing of job and customer information, it helps our teams work more efficiently and deliver a better service experience for our clients and customers.

“Totalmobile, and the framework we’ve built around it, is transforming how we deliver services by digitising field operations and providing real-time visibility across the asset lifecycle. It enables smarter scheduling, faster issue resolution, and more efficient use of resources. By standardising workflows and capturing reliable data, it strengthens compliance, governance, and performance insight. It’s a game changer in helping us deliver a more connected, efficient, and scalable service for both clients and customers.”
