United Infrastructure partners with SustainIQ to strengthen ESG delivery across Scotland

United Infrastructure today announced a new partnership with SustainIQ, the ESG and sustainability management platform. This collaboration will allow them to deliver and measure meaningful change across the footprint.

The platform harnesses real-time ESG data, reporting on 300+ social, environmental, and economic performance metrics, helping UI align day-to-day operations with their ambitious net-zero commitments.

United Infrastructure is delivering major programmes across Scotland, including significant works in the Alness area, where it is designing and constructing critical power transmission and distribution infrastructure to support the UK’s accelerating energy transition.

The SustainIQ platform will provide comprehensive tracking and reporting of environmental data across all Power projects. This enhanced visibility will enable operational teams to make informed decisions and take practical steps to minimise environmental impact. In addition, the system will track and measure social value initiatives associated with these projects. By capturing and quantifying community benefits, United Infrastructure aims to maximise the positive impact of its work within local communities across Scotland, of which there are already many.

David Bromley-Walsh, Director of SHEQ said:

“This investment in SustainIQ marks a pivotal step in embedding ESG excellence into our operations. SustainIQ provides the robust tools we need to measure impact, reduce emissions, and lead the infrastructure sector toward a sustainable future.”

Libby Kerman Sustainability Lead commented:

“This partnership will enable us to strengthen our data-driven approach to sustainability, providing greater transparency and supporting more informed decision-making across the business as we accelerate progress toward our ESG goals.”

Liam McEvoy, SustainIQ Co-founder and Director said:

“We’re thrilled to partner with United Infrastructure Power T&D, a forward-thinking leader that truly recognises ESG’s vital role. Our software will unlock actionable insights to support their growth while advancing corporate sustainability strategies that matter.”

This partnership marks a significant step forward for United Infrastructure, enabling the continued expansion of its operations across Scotland in a sustainable and socially responsible manner, while delivering lasting benefits to the communities it serves.
