United Infrastructure has been appointed as one of 8 service delivery partners for National Grid UK’s new cable installation framework. The strategic agreement has a total potential value of up to £640 million.
The framework will support the delivery of critical electricity infrastructure projects across National Grid’s transmission, distribution and wider UK businesses, reinforcing the resilience of the network and enabling the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
Since early 2025 United Infrastructure has grown its power business, which now encompasses the full spectrum, from low-voltage, to high-voltage, to transmission & distribution. This growth has positioned the company as a key solutions provider within the UK’s power sector.
Under the framework, United Infrastructure will deliver cable installation works for 66kV, 132kV and lower-voltage circuits, alongside associated jointing, testing and commissioning activity across National Grid Electricity Distribution projects throughout the UK.
The framework is available for use across National Grid group companies, including National Grid Electricity Transmission, National Grid Ventures, and National Grid Electricity Distribution operations in the East Midlands, West Midlands, South West and South Wales.
Campbell Crawford, Managing Director Power T&D commented:
“We’re delighted to have been appointed to National Grid’s new cable installation framework and to continue our long-standing relationship with NGED as one of their trusted delivery partners. We look forward to continuing to invest in our people and capability as we help strengthen the UK’s electricity network for years to come.”
This appointment further strengthens United Infrastructure’s position as a trusted partner in the UK’s evolving power landscape, helping to deliver the reliable and resilient electricity networks needed to support the UK’s growing energy demands.
