United Infrastructure is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Power Transmission and Distribution, has joined the Inverness Chamber of Commerce. The Inverness Chamber of Commerce is a business membership organisation that supports companies across the Highlands through networking, advocacy, and initiatives that drive regional economic growth.
As part of its strategic investment in the Highland region, United Infrastructure has joined the Inverness Chamber of Commerce to strengthen relationships with local businesses, deepen its understanding of the regional landscape, and ensure its decision-making is locally informed and responsive. This partnership reflects the continued evolution of United Infrastructure’s operations in Scotland, as it supports customers through a period of unprecedented investment, rising energy demand, and accelerating net‑zero commitments.
Since early 2025 United Infrastructure has grown its power business, which now encompasses the full spectrum, from low-voltage, to high-voltage, to transmission & distribution.
This growth has positioned the company as a key solutions provider within the UK’s power sector, delivering major projects for SSEN across Scotland.
With demand for a stronger and more resilient power network continuing to increase, driven by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, United Infrastructure is at the forefront of delivering these essential upgrades.
By engaging with the Chamber, United Infrastructure can align with local authorities and the wider community, while also gaining access to an extensive network of member companies operating throughout Scotland.
This collaboration will support the delivery of long-term economic and social benefits, enabling local communities to share in the opportunities created by United Infrastructure’s expanding operations.
Jim Csöppü, Project Director ASTI SSE T&D commented:
“As part of the United Infrastructure strategic investment in the Highland region, it is clear, that building effective relationships will enhance our local understanding and ensure our decision making is informed and appropriate. Engagement with the Chamber of Commerce provides a gateway to aligning with local authorities, the wider community and to an extensive network of member companies active throughout Scotland. We look forward to contributing to initiatives to support the region, whilst developing our integration into this beautiful and prosperous part of the country.”
