ULPS secures position on NHS Decarbonisation of Estates Framework

ULPS has secured a position on the NHS Decarbonisation of Estates Framework. This framework which aligns with the NHS’s ambitious goals to reach net zero emissions can also be accessed by local authorities, and organisations across education, blue lights and the prison service.

Specifically placed under Lot 2, ULPS will work on the decarbonisation of domestic properties in the North of England, the Midlands and London/South East regions. This appointment enables ULPS to contribute to the NHS’s sustainability targets by implementing advanced, energy-efficient technologies that reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy usage across NHS facilities.

The decarbonisation framework is a vital part of the NHS’s broader environmental strategy, which is linked to the UK’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The NHS has set itself specific goals to achieve net zero direct emissions by 2040 and net zero indirect emissions by 2045. As part of this initiative, NHS facilities are undergoing comprehensive upgrades that include modernisation of heating, lighting and ventilation systems, installation of on-site solar generation and integration of digital energy management solutions.

ULPS is well-positioned to support these upgrades, offering expertise in energy-efficient solutions that are both sustainable and cost-effective. These efforts will help the NHS reduce its carbon footprint while supporting operational efficiency and environmental responsibility across its estates. This partnership reflects ULPS’s commitment to advancing the NHS’s net zero objectives and contributing to the UK’s sustainability goals.
