United Infrastructure Signs Developing the Young Workforce Employer Pledge

United Infrastructure has officially signed the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Employer Pledge, reaffirming its commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young people across Scotland.

The DYW Employer Pledge is a national initiative that brings together employers focused on supporting Scotland’s young people through employment, apprenticeships, work experience, training, and career development opportunities. By signing the pledge, United Infrastructure joins a growing network of organisations dedicated to helping young people build the skills, confidence, and experience they need to succeed in their careers.

As a leading provider of infrastructure solutions across the UK, United Infrastructure recognises the vital role the industry plays in inspiring and developing the next generation of talent. By signing the DYW Employer Pledge, United Infrastructure is reinforcing its commitment to creating pathways into the infrastructure sector for Scotland’s young people. The company will support this ambition through its dedicated Social Value and Early Careers teams which ensure the business can help young people build successful and sustainable careers.

Lisa Robb, Social Value Manager at United Infrastructure commented:

“Signing the Developing the Young Workforce Pledge reflects our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young people. Through our partnership with the DYW and a place-based approach across the Highlands, we’re investing in local talent, supporting communities, and helping to build a skilled workforce for the future.

Together, we’re creating lasting social value while delivering vital infrastructure.”

Signing the initiative forms part of United Infrastructure’s wider social value strategy, which focuses on delivering lasting benefits to the communities in which it operates. By investing in young people today, the company aims to help build a stronger, more resilient workforce for the future, delivering positive social and economic outcomes for communities.

United Infrastructure looks forward to working with DYW and its regional partners to expand opportunities for young people and inspire future careers across the infrastructure sector.
