United Living Group, the provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services, and telecoms, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, United Living Property Services (ULPS), has won a contract with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea worth up to £23.3 million over two years.

The contract is to deliver a renewal programme that will upgrade over 2,100 kitchens and 1,670 bathrooms in properties across the whole Borough covering 31 locations. ULPS’ Resident Liaison Officers and design teams will work closely with residents to select their preferred styles.

The project will involve extensive renovation work to install modern fixtures and fittings to help revitalise thousands of homes in the area. These will include extract ventilation, boiler replacements, electricity smart meter upgrades and works to asbestos, damp and fire doors.

John Farrell, Managing Director at United Living Property Services, commented:

“We are delighted to be working with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to create well-designed kitchens and bathrooms which will improve the comfort and standard of living of residents across the Borough.”

Councillor Sof McVeigh, Lead Member for Housing Management, Housing Safety, and Building New Homes, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea commented:

“We are committed to investing in homes to ensure they are safe and secure for everyone. To do this, we are investing £23 million over the next two years to make sure we offer high-quality kitchens and bathrooms to our residents.  We want to bring residents with us on the journey to design kitchens and bathrooms that best fit their homes and will be fit for purpose for many years to come.”
