United Living awarded ISO-3834 welding certification

United Living Group, the provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services and telecoms, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, United Living Energy has successfully gained certification in accordance with ISO 3834 with TWI Certification Ltd (TWI CL).

Certification to ISO 3834 is part of a series of standards that establish quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials. It outlines a framework for a comprehensive quality management system, focusing on welding coordination, personnel competence, and proper equipment usage.

TWI CL’s Welding Fabricator Certification Scheme (WFCS) is the only scheme in the UK that is authorised for ISO 3834 Certification by the European Welding Federation for Welding Joining and Cutting (EWF) and the International Institute of Welding (IIW).  This enables United Living Energy Services to gain recognition on an international level.

Presenting the award was Emma Freckingham, MInstLM AWeldI, Head of Company Certification at TWI CL, who praised United Living Group’s “commitment to gaining their certification” as well as their “positive attitude and commitment to demonstrate their capabilities to control welding activities within the oil and gas infrastructure network.”

Richard Davey, Compliance Verification Engineer and Lead Assessor for TWI CL, also attended the presentation and added that “certification to ISO 3834 is a confirmation of the company’s welding and manufacturing competence.”

The certification highlights United Living’s adherence to international best practices in welding, which can reduce non-conformance costs and improve its global competitiveness.

Lewis Watts, Head of Engineering, United Living Infrastructure Services, commented:

“We are delighted to have been awarded the ISO 3834 certification. This highly respected award is not easily obtained, and I want to extend my gratitude to our team for their dedication to maintaining high-quality welding manufacturing processes that meet the stringent requirements of TWI CL.

“There is a growing demand for this certification in our industry, and we are proud to meet this quality standard. This achievement positions us well to expand our business opportunities across a wider range of clients.”
