United Living awarded a ten-year framework by United Utilities worth circa £150 million

United Living Group, the provider of infrastructure, affordable housing, property services, and telecoms, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, United Living Infrastructure Services (ULIS), has been awarded a place on a major Framework with United Utilities over a ten year period as part of its AMP8 and AMP9 investment plans. The value of the work to be shared with 18 partners is circa £2.75 billion.

United Living will deliver design and build services for clean and wastewater infrastructure projects across the North West of England.

A large part of the Framework is associated with delivering major environmental benefits to the region including reduction in storm overflow activations. The works will include design, construction and commissioning of infrastructure, pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, concrete in-situ tank installations, sewer works and site facilities.

The contract award will be concluded June 2024 with mobilisation over a three-month period.

Conor Bray, Managing Director, United Living Infrastructure Services, commented:

“We are delighted that United Utilities has chosen United Living as a delivery partner for their significant AMP8 and AMP9 investment programme.

“Our focus will be on supporting United Utilities to deliver a major programme of environmental projects, in a customer friendly manner, which will benefit local communities. We look forward to working collaboratively with United Utilities, using our full range of integrated services, to provide innovative, efficient solutions to deliver resilient water and wastewater infrastructure across the North West of England.

“This long-term Framework will provide the basis of significant investment in local skills development, employment, and growth opportunities for local people. We will add value to the communities and environment United Utilities operate in”.

Jane Simpson, Capital Delivery Director at United Utilities, said:

“We’re really pleased to have chosen 18 great partners who will complement the seven partners that we have already announced to help deliver our ambitious plans and transform our infrastructure across the region.

“For the first time we’re engaging directly with these partners who will do the work, rather than through large management contractors. This will allow us to be more agile and ensures we have a mix of partners able to deliver at speed, whilst securing the best value for our customers.”
