Integrated Security Solutions

At United Infrastructure, we specialise in delivering end-to-end Integrated Security Solutions (ISS) and associated infrastructure works for clients operating critical national infrastructure. As cyber-attacks, malicious activity and extreme weather events become increasingly frequent, the need for robust, fully integrated security systems has never been greater.

Our expertise ensures that major infrastructure project sites are safeguarded through resilient, intelligent protection measures tailored to each client’s operational environment.

We manage and deliver projects across the United Kingdom through a structured two-phase approach, enabling us to provide a comprehensive, high-quality service from initial design through to implementation and long-term operational support.

Phase 1

Phase 1: Design and enabling works

Our design phase allows us to shape secure and compliant solutions that optimise the protection of critical infrastructure assets. From day one, we ensure every element meets the relevant regulatory, technical and operational standards.

As Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, we take full ownership of this stage, acting as the single point of contact and providing complete project governance. This includes managing programme development and scheduling, establishing project control systems, defining communication protocols, and setting up robust document management, reporting and audit processes.

To support the design and ensure seamless progression into construction, we undertake a range of desktop and on-site surveys. These are carefully planned to align with the programme, reduce risk, and eliminate delays caused by unforeseen constraints.

Alongside survey work, we carry out early enabling activities as required. These include engaging with key project stakeholders and participating in essential safety and planning forums such as HAZID, HAZCON and other preparatory meetings.

Phase 2

Phase 2: Delivery – ISS, civils and technology integration

Once design and enabling works are complete, we progress into the full delivery phase. This stage focuses on installing the complex, critical ISS infrastructure that underpins a secure and resilient operational environment. Our team takes a collaborative and transparent approach to delivering the physical, civil and technical components, upholding quality, safety and regulatory compliance at every stage to ensure operational readiness.

All civil works are delivered in-house, overseen by a dedicated Senior Competent Officer on site. Typical activities include constructing kiosk bases, installing camera tower foundations, forming concrete sills for security fencing and completing electrical ducting.

Once a substantial portion of the construction stages have taken place, our technical teams mobilise to install electrical systems and integrate complex security technologies. Through clear communication and meticulous coordination, we ensure a smooth delivery process and seamless, reliable system performance.
